SREC Announces Request for Proposals for FEMA Project #663576 (Posted August 12, 2024)
Steuben Rural Electric Cooperative with headquarters in Bath, NY (hereinafter called “Steuben” or the “Owner”) is interested in obtaining proposals for a distribution line construction project related to damage caused by Tropical Storm Fred. This project was awarded a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”). Steuben is seeking a qualified power line construction contractor, (hereinafter called the “Bidder” or “Contractor”) to provide the necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the project. The project consists of installing approximately 1,700 feet of three phase primary underground cable by means of horizonal directional drilling, with some additional primary overhead construction and retirement. This contract will be bid on a contract sum basis, with monthly payments as specified in the sample contract. Request for Proposals (RFP) will be received by Steuben Rural Electric Cooperative until September 13, 2024. Responses received will be submitted to the Board of Directors for action at their meeting on September 18, 2024.

This project was awarded a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”). Steuben is seeking a qualified power line construction contractor, (hereinafter called the “Bidder” or “Contractor”) to provide the necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the project. The project consists of reconductoring and relocating approximately 3 miles of primary overhead distribution line (12.47kV). This contract will be bid on a contract sum basis, with monthly payments as specified in the sample contract.
