Online with SmartHub
SmartHub allows you to securely pay your bill from your computer or mobile device. You may also check your electric energy usage and manage multiple aspects of your account. Secure Payments/IVR System
The IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system offers you a secure and convenient payment method by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With IVR you can: pay your bill anytime, check your account balance, change your phone number, store payment information and sign up for automatic payments through your credit/debit card. How do I use Secure Payments/IVR? If you want to make a payment on your bill over the phone, call 607-776-4161 or 1-800-843-3414. The system is automated and all of your personal information, such as card number and payment amount, will be entered by you. If storing payment information or signing up for automatic payments, you will need to create a PIN number. At any time, you may hang up and this will discontinue the phone call. There is no additional fee for this service. Before you call, you will need your Steuben Rural Electric Cooperative account number (found on your electric bill).
Enjoy the convenience of having your bill automatically paid each month from your credit card or bank account when you enroll in Auto Pay. With Auto Pay, you no longer have to worry about due dates or late fees since your payment is automatically deducted from your account on the 20th of each month, prior to your due date. Mail your payment in the envelope enclosed with your bill. If you are mailing in your payment, please allow plenty of time for delivery before the due date. Please remember that privacy rules prevent Cooperative employees from providing account information to anyone but the member unless a member consent form if on file at the office.
Pay in Person
Pay in person at the Bath or Cherry Creek offices. The Cooperative accepts personal checks, credit or debit cards (Visa, MasterCard or Discover), money orders or cash for payment. The Bath office is open week days from 7:30am-4:00pm and the Cherry Creek office is open week days from 7:00am-3:30pm. Please remember that privacy rules prevent Cooperative employees from providing account information to anyone but the member unless a member consent form is on file at the office.
A payment drop box is available at each office location for the convenience of members who like to drop off their payment while in town. The drop box is available for your convenience 24 hrs. a day. Payments dropped off in the drop box will be processed the following business day. Payments dropped off on holidays or during weekends are also processed on the next business day.
Bill pay through your bank is offered by most banks. You specify when the the bank sends the payment to the Cooperative and from which account. Please allow 7-10 business days for the Cooperative to receive your payment to avoid unwanted late fees.
